Unique brewing system 
• The revolutionary SENSEO® coffee-making method draws the very best out of the special Douwe Egberts coffee pods. Thanks to the light natural pressure in the pod holder, the water passes quickly, evenly and in a controlled manner through the coffee pod, so no over-extraction can take place.

Crema layer
• A rich layer of foam tops up every cup of SENSEO® coffee. This crema layer is formed by the natural mild pressure that occurs during the coffee-making process. The layer seals in the aroma, so you enjoy the pure, round taste of fresh coffee from the first sip to the very last.

Detachable water reservoir
 • The water reservoir is detachable, making it easy to fill under the tap. A full water reservoir holds 750 ml, enough for 5 cups of coffee.

Different coffee varieties
• Specially developed for SENSEO®, the coffee pods are available in a variety of tastes: dark roast, regular, mild and decaffeinated. This means everyone can enjoy their favourite taste at any time of the day.

Easy dosage
• Thanks to SENSEO®'s single-portion coffee pods the coffee is never too weak or too strong. Unlike filter coffee, the taste is consistent, cup after cup.
 
Easy cleaning 
• The podholders, spout, driptray and leaktray can all be put in the dishwasher. The used coffee pods can be thrown out with any other biodegradable waste.
